The purpose for which the Association is formed is to promote public education, health, safety, and welfare through the improvement of the quality of drinking water delivered to the public through potable water systems by insuring protection and education against contamination of the public water supply due to cross connections (Backflow). Who We AreThe American Backflow Prevention Association is an international organization dedicated to the aforementioned goals. It is divided into 12 regions with this part of the country belonging to Region 6 which covers Arizona, California, Hawaii, and Nevada. The Central Valley Chapter serves the central San Joaquin Valley area of California from Modesto in the north to Visalia in the south. From high in the Sierras to the Central Coast Range and beyond. Our membership is composed of purveyor representatives, health officials, plumbers, contractors, municipal agencies, and of course Backflow Assembly Testers and Specialists. Where & WhenThe Central Valley Chapter holds regular meetings on the first Wednesday of every odd month. The locations vary to different parts of the valley but always begin promptly at 6:30 PM. Our meetings are held to exchange ideas and information and promote education of our membership. Of course the public is always invited and encouraged to attend. The meeting locations will always be posted in advance on this website on our calendar page.
